A man, Larry Negan (not real name), shared on a Facebook platform what he experienced after dying. He admitted to experiencing not just a near-death, but death itself. He said that it was a quick one while explaining how it happened.
Highlighting what caused the death, he said that he had a car crash. As soon as the tragedy struck and befell him, he soon realized he was dead. While out of the body and being conscious at the same time, he could see himself on the clouds in heaven.
Larry was prompted to admit his own experience when curiosity made a fellow who preferred to remain anonymous ask about the afterlife, particularly from individuals who have experienced near-death experiences (NDE). According to that fellow who was on the condition of anonymity, what made him inquisitive about the afterlife was that he has a friend who is on the verge of passing away due to cancer. Sadly too, he has lost his own dad. Before his own dad passed away, he already knew that the time of his death was getting close. His dad’s sight of “death ahead” is also the same as that of his friend.
“Has anyone felt that?” he asked. “I don’t know if it’s different for those that actually die vs NDE.”
Responding to the question, Larry said that in his own death experience, he had no thought of this world. He was empty in thought of whatever the world holds. At the same time, he had the greatest peace ever. Not just that. He experienced love and peace at a go. This gave him an unusual peace.
“I was entirely happy and filled with love and peace,” Larry said in a Facebook comment.
Meanwhile, another individual, Hawelli (not her real name), who responded to the question being asked, spoke about the afterlife. While admitting that it wasn’t the experience of her own self, she said that it was that of another person whom she took care of.
She noted that the person (a lady) told her to reach out to the nurses that she was on the verge of passing away. In the course of that time, she asked if she could see “the light,” and the dying lady gave an affirmative answer.
The Light
In near-death experiences, “the light” is a common concept and terminology. People often speak of seeing a very bright light. While this concept is not scientifically confirmed, some have said that it could be a result of the human brain at work. For instance, a user posited that it was just the brain playing tricks. Probably hallucinations.
Hawlli responded, saying that “the light” (in NDE) refers to God’s light.
According to her explanation, it was the same thing that her sister saw when she had her NDE. Also, she saw it when she asked that it reveal himself to her. She said that the closer he came to her, the more she got overwhelmed.
Confirming the concept of “the light,” a fellow recalled that his mom bled to death while giving birth to him and that she saw the light too.
It has been said that there’s a school of thought regarding the concept of the light. This school of thought is said to reside in the doctrine of reincarnation.
This was in the words of someone who seems to believe in that school of thought:
“There’s a school of thought that the light is a trap to trick you back into the reincarnation cycle, instead of letting you go on to a higher demon soon.” The person said that when her time to leave her body comes, she hopes to be able to do a little exploring before she heads towards that light.
But, as far as the Bible is concerned, the light in the afterlife is God himself. The Bible tells us that God is light, very shiny and dazzling.
