• As Government Probes Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) Sightings
Astronomers say that there are billions of galaxies in the known universe and each of the galaxies has billions of stars and earth-like planets. It is, thus, doubtful that the earth is the only planet that abhors living things. Meanwhile, as the Bible does not explicitly answer the two questions above, I’m today critically examining them in the light of the Scriptures.
In order to present clear-cut Biblical findings, we’ll take the first question (Are there other worlds?). This will then lead me to answer the second question (Do aliens exist?).
Are There Other Worlds?
Hebrews 1:2 (KJV) “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the WORLDS.”
Notice the plurality. This Scripture didn’t just say one world; it says WORLDS. That suggests there are other worlds other than this world. But this Scripture does not alone say there are words. There’s also another Bible passage that seems to establish this idea:
Hebrews 11:3 (KJV) “Through faith we understand that the WORLDS WERE FRAMED by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Notice the plurality again. The second clause made us realize that the intent of the Hebrew writer was not a reference to “ages” (time) as the original text of the initially cited Bible text may suggest, but to “material” worlds.
Having discovered in the light of the Scriptures that there are other worlds, we’re faced to answer if they are inhabited or habitable, obviously not by humans, but by what we may call extraterrestrial beings. Obviously not by humans because the Scriptures made it clear that the earth was specifically designed for man, and you can’t find that species elsewhere. Psalms 115:16 (KJV) “The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.”
Civilizations and whatever that could exist in other worlds can not be human-like, neither could they be some kind of animated beings tagged as aliens on screens.
Scripture clearly states that there are extraterrestrial beings. Whatever they are or look like, we can never tell.
Job 1:6-7 (KJV) “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”
It is obvious to any reader that heaven was not the abode of these creatures, including Satan, for they CAME TO PRESENT THEMSELVES before the LORD. They actually came from somewhere. If we’re to answer, it is from these other worlds. And Satan? We read that he came all the way from the Earth to represent the Earth before the face of the Earth.
Again, Jesus confirms that there is a prince of THIS world (John 14:30). Also, (Ephesians 2:2 and 6:12).
Do we realize that Satan came to Jesus and told him that He would give him the KINGDOMS of this world?
Luke 4:5-6 (KJV) “And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of THE WORLD in a moment of time.
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will, I give it
I don’t want to delve into many theologies here, but basically, this is the seat of man that Satan is occupying. Because before God created Adam, he said his purpose was to rule over the Earth (Genesis 1:26-27). Adam, perhaps, should have the representation of humanity when those sons of God appeared in heaven. However, he lost it to Satan in Eden. The second Adam, Jesus, has, however, come to reclaim that rulership on behalf of humanity. Thus:
Revelation 11:15 (KJV) “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”
