Can Satan ever consult a Christian for help? Has there ever been a Christian in the New Testament who had this strange encounter where Satan begged for help? It is not about the statement being true or false. It is about Christians knowing their state in the context of their relationship with Satan. Through scriptural knowledge, Christians can rightly discern and get over the devices of Satan and, at the same time, appropriate testimonies that are not divinely inspired or mere stories being told to prove a point from opinions or something related.
Nigerian preacher and founder of the Remnant Christian Network, Apostle Arome Osayi, has shared an account of a dream experience where Satan appeared to him multiple times, both in a U.K trip and more recently in America, asking for his “help” and offering him wealth, influence, and access. Satan was said not to have come as an attack, but for the sake of help.
In light of the explanation of the dreams, let us pick up what scriptures strictly told us of the personality of Satan, the Christian relationship with him and how every Christian should respond to testimonies from those who preach the message. Importantly, the scriptures admonished Christians to search the scriptures, as well as discern through the person of the Holy Spirit.
The Strange Encounter: When Satan Wanted Apostle Arome Osayi’s Help, What Christians Should Know
In a testimony that has garnered reactions and continues as conversations online among Christian circles and other people. The Apostle recounted a scene of dreams in which a figure he identified as Satan approached him not to attack, but to ask to complete a project. This vision of a dream has been shared both in places like the U.K and the Americas.
What Arome Osayi Described
The Apostle explained that the figure that appeared to him did not bear the customary image of a horned and macabre devil. Instead, it was an almost majestic presence, calm, composed and persuasive. According to him, the account happened in one night, and the figure returned each time he fell back asleep.
He added that the vision encompassed symbols of wealth and influence: starks of card-like objects resembling access cards to nations and powers, along with gold he described as sufficient for a lifetime. He also mentioned a crystal-ball-like object whose purpose was never told him.
Osayi claimed to have refused the offer, citing other places in the scriptures and at the same time, was persuaded to study the scriptures to get understanding. (The details of what he said could be seen on his social media handle).
What The Holy Bible Calls Satan?
The same personality was named among the sons of God. He appeared at the presentation. Job 1:6.
Satan is a personality. A real figure. A person whose interest is to be in the position of God. Satan was prophetically illustrated in the books of Ezekiel and Isaiah in comparison to some majestic kings. But in Genesis, at the fall of man, the Bible referred to him as a Serpent. Because he communicated through it, tempting Eve.
The same personality came and tempted Jesus Christ, Matt 4:10. Here, Satan did not come to appear to request help but to tempt. The same as he did to them in the Garden of Eden. He was about to repeat the same.
What the Holy Bible Calls Christians to Watch Out For On This Instance
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 “For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light, therefore (it is) no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
Christians must be guided and overly alert, as Satan is doing all he can to get more people to his side. There is a strategy in adoption, all for more confusion and realistic pictorial expression of what he/it is not.
Christians must discern; discernment matters. The Holy Spirit is a personality in Christians who functions to bring light to the hidden things of darkness. Deception rarely looks like deception.
Satan’s ambition is more calculated in affecting the destiny than altering morality. Satan captured the destiny of man in Genesis and was about bringing the same thing up with Jesus Christ in the wilderness. While the former deceitful package was explicitly about them taking up God’s nature of power and dominance, Jesus Christ was instead offered such power which he already had.
What Should Christians Do About The Narration of the Dream?
Apostle Arome Osayi’s dream should not be taken as doctrine or footprint. It should not be mocked. It should not be ridiculed. Rather, the testimony should be tested in the light of God’s word.
The whole provision of the dream, a line should be drawn. The dream should be weighed and not swallowed whole.
As a reader of this article, you might have had similar dreams or may in the future have one. Apostle Arome Osayi had this dream; if it were to be true, not because he is the most heavily spiritual than you are. The key economics of the narrative here is that when you probably have one, you will manage it through the lens of the scriptures.
